Irony of ironies: the Christmas season is so busy and frantic, bustling about from one event to the next that it is quite easy, almost automatic, to crowd out every opportunity to stop and wonder at the glory of it all. The wonder of Christmas is that the eternal God has made himself known. The newborn in the manger is the eternal God. Let’s put the Christmas crazy on pause and stop to wonder!

  2. How much of our typical Christmas celebrations (decorations, food, music, parties) could still happen if Jesus never came?
  3. For you, is the busyness of the Christmas season conducive to worship or does it tend to crowd worship out? How can you put wonder and worship back at the centre of it all?
  4. How would you explain the meaning of Christmas to an unchurched friend? How is your celebration of Christmas different than theirs?
  5. How does the incarnation of Christ set Christianity apart from every religion of the world?
