TAC MEN’S FALL RETREAT
NOVEMBER 23-25, 2018 AT STILLWOOD CAMP COST $215
We’re going to get away for the weekend and have lots of fun doing crazy guy things with the added benefit of getting to know one another and building unity in our community. We’ll be challenged by a great speaker, Matt Menzel, to be men who are called to holiness. We will enjoy worshipping God together in this beautiful setting near Cultus Lake. Accommodation is in Chestnut Lodge and all meals are included. You will have the opportunity to take part in a challenging game of floor hockey, dodge ball or indoor soccer. There will even be free time for those who are looking for simple fellowship or a quiet space to get away.
A CALL TO HOLINESS
“As obedient children do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct.” I Peter 1:14-15
I came across this verse along with many others that are related during a devotional time recently. That got me thinking about what my life was like when I was a new believer years ago, how diligent I was in trying to, as the Apostle Paul said, “live a life worthy of the calling you have received,” and thinking about how far from that measure I seem to have drifted. It seemed clear that I was hearing from the Lord a call to holiness and godly living in my life. Of course, I may be the only one challenged in this way and if so, well, I know you’ll hear something great this weekend anyway, but if you’re like me and you’re hearing the challenge to live and be more like Jesus, than I believe this weekend will be for you.
