Summary

Read 1 Timothy 3:1-13

Having removed two of the church’s leaders for false teaching, Paul now tasks Timothy with appointing new leaders. In this passage he reminds Timothy and the church what the qualifications are for leadership in the church. While others focus on skill, charisma, and leadership gifts, Paul focuses on godly character and proven faithfulness.
