What stood out to you from Sunday’s message?
In Exodus 3 and 4, God speaks to Moses in the burning bush, revealing his plans and his name to Moses. Though Moses it totally unqualified, God calls him and sends him to lead the people of Israel out of slavery. This is how God operates, using weak and imperfect people to accomplish his perfect will. God will call us to do things that are beyond our ability so that we must rely on his power and presence.
- What is something that you think or know God has called you to that feels difficult or even impossible? If you can’t think of something specific, what are the general calls that God has given to all people?
- Moses felt he wasn’t qualified (v.11). Instead of building him up, God promises his presence (v.12). How does God’s response speak to us in the difficult challenges we face?
- What is the significance of God’s name? What does it say about him?
- What three signs did God give Moses to show the people of Israel? What is the great sign that God has given us that the gospel is true?
