Our culture focuses on instant gratification but like Abraham we are called to a faith that obeys and perseveres even when we don’t see our faith immediately rewarded. God has not promised that the life of faith is easy and filled with immediate reward, but is one of persevering faith that believes God’s promises and looks forward to their fulfillment in the life to come.
