In a recent Elders’ meeting considerable time was spent discussing how COVID policies at TAC are being perceived by our congregation.  Undoubtedly there is a wide range of views, and it is our desire as leaders to do everything we can to maintain unity within the Body of Christ.

In this regard a number in our congregation have expressed that they feel safer in settings where there is a standard policy of masking and physical distancing.  So in order to make TAC a comfortable place for as many as possible, beginning this Sunday and for the foreseeable future we are reserving the balcony for only those wearing masks and willing to maintain a physical distance of 6 feet from other households.  In addition there will be a separate optional exit from the balcony so as to avoid any congestion in the foyer area.

We also want to clarify that in order to respect where everyone is coming from on this delicate issue, the downstairs seating will remain as it currently is - a “mask recommended but optional” area.

This decision has not been made lightly or without prayerful consideration at the Elders level and we recognize it may not be a “perfect” solution for everyone.  But we would ask that as a congregation we continue to love on each other and respect each other while trying to ensure that all feel comfortable and safe in our Sunday morning worship services.

Thank you for your understanding and patience as we continue to navigate the turbulent waters of COVID!

(Note: For the safety of our children in TAC Kids, we ask that adults use the downstairs washrooms during service times.)
