Our leadership team is working diligently to strategize how, both now and going forward, we can fulfill the Great Commandment of loving God (worshipping him corporately) and loving our neighbour (not putting others at unnecessary risk). In light of the announcement from the BC Health Ministry yesterday urging that all public gatherings over 250 be cancelled, our team thinks it is only prudent and responsible to adhere to this directive, even though our attendance would normally not exceed that number.

For this Sunday, March 15th, we will not be gathering as a congregation in the sanctuary. However, our ministry personnel will still create a worship service that will be live-streamed so you can participate in your own home. This live-streaming will begin at 10am Sunday morning (our regular time) and will include all the elements of our normal worship gathering (singing, prayer, scripture and a message by Mark Tubbs – our guest speaker). To access this, please visit our homepage at www.tachurch.ca Sunday morning.

As the church body, our purpose is to glorify God by loving him and loving others. The context in which this takes place has changed throughout history, sometimes in temporary ways, like we are experiencing now, and at other times in more dramatic, permanent ways. But the heart, and our purpose, remains the same. Over the coming days, we will be working on plans for gathering in smaller groups in homes with appropriate protocols, so we can continue to be the church gathered in the midst of growing change. We will communicate these details with you as soon as possible.

“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” Hebrews 10:24-25
