What stood out to you from Sunday’s message?
Read Ezekiel 36:16-32
Since God has attached his name to his people, their sin has created a crisis. For hundreds of years God allowed for them to continue unpunished, resulting in great shame on God’s name. Now that God has sent his people into exile, they continue to profane his name. To solve this crisis God will vindicate his holy name by cleansing and transforming his people so they are able to be holy and to honour Him.
How can our life glorify or profane God’s holy name? How is God most glorified in us?
How are God’s glory and the good of his people related? Does one come at the expense of the other?
What are some of the behaviours that come out when we forget God’s cleansing grace?
Compare v.25 with vv.26-27. Why is cleansing not enough? What else do we need?
According to v.27, what does the work of God’s Spirit look like? Does this change the way you measure the power and work of the Holy Spirit?
